Probably made some Linux user angry because I just installed Google Chrome on my parents' laptop. Based Fedora for allowing it under third party repositories and making my life easier lol.

Yeah this is a non-pro and for some reason the integrated GPU isn't switching on.

Though apparently people have gotten it working with Bluefin (by the same project powering Bazzite) so I might try that one. It really needs to be a turnkey solution, and UBlue does that so...

Oh I use WINE or Proton where I can. I test MusicBee on it.

It's more stuff like the PlayStation VR 2 which atm only has a Windows driver, or games with kernel level anti-cheat like Fortnite. I have considered getting a Switch 2 for Fortnite in the past but might just get my PS5 running for it.

I still have stuff I need Windows for so I can't escape it, but I am working towards making Linux my main OS. The recent MS account bullshit was my tipping point.

At least with macOS you can still use the bloody thing if you don't want an Apple ID...

ADHD-C, was on sertraline for like three days, felt like I was going to have a stroke. But that was probably because I was pushed into the deep end.

The issue is, it's a Surface. I briefly tried Ubuntu on it and I knew I was in for an uphill battle seeing the bootloader. Then the graphics didn't work.

The laptop is also quite old so we thought it was best to get a MacBook and then worry about Linux on it later.

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

Also, I was able to update my AUR packages lol. Though moving to Cachy's repos means I can bypass the AUR in a way for some packages like Zen Browser.

If push comes to shove, I'll start using Chaotic-AUR. Yes, I'm aware of the risks, but have you seen what's been going on with the AUR?

Moved my Arch repos to CachyOS', so now I've got a bastard hybrid of Arch Linux but with CachyOS repositories lol.

But I like it. I think there's a performance increase - whether it's placebo or not IDK. But I wanna take full advantage of my hardware, so... #archlinux #cachyos

I've used LeechBlock to block social media sites while I'm trying to focus on my current project, and it's weird how the difference is near night and day when it comes to actually getting things done.
