1965 Topps #526 Rookie Stars.
....
Rookie card of both HOF'er Catfish Hunter and Blue Moon Odom. Odom was a very good pitcher, btw. Two time All-Star, won at least 15 games three times and owns three Championship rings.

1965 Topps #266 Bert Campaneris. Rookie card of the x6 All-Star. 19 years in the bigs. Not always a great hitter, but was fast with a + glove. Also had mad hits. Not sure what that is. #Athletics #topps #mlb #wahoocardboard

Otto Lopez was a good middle infield prospect for the Blue Jays from 2020-2023, ranking as high as the team's #6 prospect by Baseball America in 2022. He broke out this past season with the Marlins.

The only reason Teoscar Hernandez is that he was a player that many Guardians fans hoped the club would sign for the 2024 season.

Witchia Baseball was visiting Hawaii this past weekend and had some interesting players. On the shortlist of guys I was hoping to get was infielder Kam Durnin. He had a good series, starting all four games and hitting .294 with four RBI.

The Cleveland Guardians drafted pitcher Braylon Doughty with the 36th overall pick of last season's draft. I was happy to get his autograph on such a nice card, that way I don't have to worry about trying to find some way to get him this season. #wahoocardboard

When I think of Ray Durham, I think about the 2002 Oakland Athletics. That is the same season made famous in the movie "Moneyball".

New Arrival: Spencer Horwitz, if, Pittsburg Pirates. Baseball is not always a fast game until it is. Example: infielder Spencer Horwitz.

From the Field: Eddie Taubensee, c, Cleveland Guardians. I am from Cleveland. I grew up watching those 90's Cleveland baseball teams dominate the American League Central. Ed Taubensee played a big role in that success, though not quite how you might think.

D2 baseball season is here in Hawaii. Exciting. Even better, Hawaii Pacific is opening the season against some fantastic teams, including the 2022 National Champions North Greenville. On Thursday night I watched their starter, Brody Fowler, shutdown HPU.

Outfielder Milton Bradley should have probably had a better career than he ended up with. For a hot second, it was all working out.

From the Field: Britton Beeson, of, The University of Hawaii. The University of Hawaii had its alumni game this past week and was a chance for me to knock out some team newcomers. Outfielder Britton Beeson was high on my list

Hall of Fame second baseman Joe Morgan was good. When Morgan was at the top of his peak, from 1972-1977, he carried a .429 OBP and averaged 22 HR a season.

When you think about the best pitchers of the 90's, you think of Greg Maddux, Rogers Clemens, Randy Johnson, and Pedro Martinez, to name a few. But you know who else was really good? Jamie Moyer.
