When economists warned that these stadiums would almost certainly be a fiscal drain on taxpayers, they were not only dismissed by local leaders, but ridiculed for not appreciating the novelty of the project.

There is this enormous disconnect where fans wanted more action and big moves, and the Phillies wanted to clear room for prospects. That led to a lot of fans mad that Justin Crawford wasn't called up last year upset that they didn't re-sign Harrison Bader this offseason.
Andrew Painter and Justin Crawford are two of the most exciting prospects we’ve seen in years.
And the Phillies front office screwed up so bad this offseason that many fans don’t even care.

If there was, Paul Skenes would have the Pirates in the NLCS vs the Dodgers.
And that's why in a "big city" like Buffalo can keep Josh Allen.
