I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

Sometimes I think about which aesthetics are going to get conflated with this period too, like are post 9/11 fashion trends (like whale tails) going to get squished in there? Are there going to be shutter shades in there? It is too easy to picture 🙀

I am pretty certain the 2020s are going to have enduring edgy/kitsch/drama factor, I fear this may make it ripe for cutesy musicals
