I’m aware of this awful situation, shared by my constituent Dr. Landis. Nobody seems to know where Dr. Abedini is being held, tho he has contacted family. Rep. Deck reached out to Rep. Cole & Sen. Lankford’s office is looped in. Here to be a squeaky wheel & help however I can.

i have nothing but respect for Mr Landler’s work, but the framing of the piece here seems off. If it’s accountability, it’s almost too late to count. The move seems motivated more by damage control to the institution of monarchy, as several Guardian columnists have noted.

When I give public talks now, I explain we are living through a series of de facto constitutional amendments, where the executive asks for radically more power, the judiciary largely agrees, and the GOP-led Congress is committing a form of institutional suicide.
