A CBP officer walked down the police line at the scene of Alex Pretti’s murder at 9:46am, lingering on every onlooker in turn with this serious camera set up. At that point every person I had talked to lived in the neighborhood, like I do, or was press

Shortly after Alex Pretti’s murder, I filmed a CBP officer at the scene with a serious camera setup going down the police line and lingering on every onlooker. This was at 9:46am and every person I had spoken to then had been either from the neighborhood, like me, or press

Shortly after Alex Pretti’s murder, a CBP officer was walking down the line with this sinister camera setup, lingering on each bystander in turn. However, don’t jump to the premeditated conclusion

A CBP officer was walking down the police line soon after Alex Pretti’s murder with this sinister camera setup, lingering on each onlooker in turn. Everyone there at that point literally were just neighbors, so glad their list will ultimately just be a duplicate of the census

I was at the intersection of 26th and Nicollet soon after Alex Pretti’s murder, and besides federal officers filming bystanders with their own phones, a CBP officer was going down the police line with a sinister camera setup, lingering on each onlooker in turn and focusing in on them

This was ICE/CBP driving away from a house a few blocks from where I live in South Minneapolis. All bystanders were on the sidewalk and no one was approaching the vehicle. I didn’t capture this part on film, but the car behind it did spray mace out the window

About 25 minutes or so after the shooting, a CBP officer was going down the police line with this sinister camera equipment, lingering on each bystander for 10 or so seconds. People who are probably grandparents were just yelling “Fuck You” and flicking it off

Genuinely was not expecting Immanuel Kant to be the name that popped up as the first portrayal of Tove Janson’s Moomins

“It is quite easy to blow air through a section of mangrove root up to around 60cm in length: powerful lungs are required for greater lengths.” - Peter Hogarth, The Biology of Mangroves. I love when biology books have info you can tell required a bit of hands-on testing/demonstrations
