"Ono has said multiple times since being announced as the finalist that while he previously supported DEI programs, he now believes they do more harm than good." Sold out, got rejected anyhow, now he's unemployed and UF will surely hire a more genuine racist.
Grow a spine, college bureaucrat scum!

“increasingly looks as though [Trump] and his allies are targeting academia more broadly”
@michellegoldberg.bsky.social

Higher ed administrations need to recognize that these forces cannot be appeased. They’re at war with the value of truth itself, and their conspiracy theories say destroy you.

The administration’s war on universities defies rational self-interest.

Wait if we cut off the agency that provides food aid around the world it might affect food producers? But the AI didn't say that-

Legitimate question here: If there's no Costco in my city, where the heck can I shop? I don't want to patronize retailers that don't support DEI, but I still have to buy shampoo, dog food, toilet paper, etc.

I continue to be baffled by the number of people who apparently are just fine with having the U.S. Capitol building attacked and Capitol police officers assaulted -- as long as the attacks are committed by "the right people."
Violent attacks on America are bad.

People convicted of crimes such as sedition and assaulting officers should be in prison.

At least that’s what I think.

I still think that, even as I recognize that more Americans support an attack on America and like seeing the perpetrators free, or don’t care.

I'm not surprised that any of these companies are trying to get rid of the NLRB -- except Trader Joe's. I guess I won't be shopping there anymore. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...
