I like to play stuff, watch stuff, and write stuff.
See, what you want is a mixture of softened butter, mayo, and finely-grated Manchego cheese on the outside, and your other cheese(s) on the inside.

It’s easy when you have a DeLorean and a flux capacitor.

Or even… tag team with him on a video! Colgill? Carville?
September 15, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Sure, Colville’s great, as are several others I follow, but I also love hearing perspectives and opinions from folks who aren’t fully embedded in the TTRPG industry. *Especially* if you felt like diving into how the skills you’ve built as a writer intersect with your game prep.

Only if you periodically talk D&D as well!

I’m in your Thursday Wardens game! Looking forward to it!

The balance between quiet character work and absolute badassery was just about perfect.

For what it’s worth, I’ve completely replaced Inspiration with Luck in all of my 5e-based games (even if I’m using nothing else from ToV) and haven’t looked back. I love it.

The Daily Beast called it “aggressively fine” and you and @whwoolhat.bsky.social should sue.

Just texted a friend “Why is Jelly Roll” and didn’t have to provide any context

I’m camping on a beautiful river with family and friends, hosting a bourbon tasting, cooking amazing food, and prepping for my Monday D&D session when I have downtime. I hope everyone is having a weekend this good.

Ah, I missed that!

SUPERMAN, SINNERS, what’s the third one?
May 17, 2025 at 8:47 PM
I do exactly this. Though in my case I think it’s less about focusing on what I’m reading, and more that my hands need something to do.

That’s my one gripe with a certain movie, which otherwise was a blast. Slipknot & co. served a narrative purpose, but I really don’t get the point of the other thing.

I maintain that 8 or 9-episode seasons would have served them better, there’s a lot of bloat.

I’m right there with you - just finished seasons 1&2 of Daredevil (better than I remembered, but still overlong) and I’m on Defenders now - it’s just so meandering and flat, it’s like they built to the big team-up and couldn’t figure out what to do once they got there.
