I’m afraid it’s just inevitable - I’ve been printing in the darkroom for 45 years and it’s a life long passion - if you want to keep it up then use less film (be selective it’s no bad thing) and use smaller paper - I’ve standardised on 5x7. I may eat and drink less too 😂

Not really I just like to use it plus it takes glass plates and excellent for double sided X-ray film. For chemical efficiency I’d use the Stearman Press tank

To be honest it’s a huge discussion with no clear answers as there are so many factors we can point to for poisoning the world - most in far greater proportions than a little photo chemicals. The “greenness” of caffenol is also debatable as it works best with cheap coffee - farmers income?
