First time I've thought about this but it's either a huge home field advantage or just something that makes impossible tasks even harder. HFA simply due to those players being familiar with the sun angle due to BP at a similar time.

MLB absolutely loves scheduling playoff games at times that result in sun and shadows previously considered unimaginable at each stadium

Who could have seen this coming except pretty much everyone who knows anything about college football

Per sources: Bill Belichick has discussed buyout options with North Carolina’s hierarchy. Belichick has signaled a willingness to trigger his own $1 million buyout if he can find a soft landing with another team or in media

The most stunning thing about Belichick's career collapsing and his reputation for anyone under 25 being recast as "horny old dude flaming out in six weeks at North Carolina" is that the football team that made the best decision to keep itself clean throughout this saga was the Atlanta Falcons

They're still searching for the market is the only answer I can think of. Not a great answer considering they've been doing that for a while with their products.

wrote a quick one about the tech companies settling lawsuits with Trump. Yes, it’s cowardice. But it’s also an excuse to behave the way they’ve always wanted to (irresponsibly, with no regard for the consequences of their actions). Which, actually makes them a perfect part of the MAGA coalition

If you had a thousand people guess how Ferentz drinks his coffee, I think 999 of them would get it right. They don't even have to know who he is, just seeing him gives it away.

Kansas City suburbs all have this. Drive 90 miles south and you struggle to find a basement.

If your uncle was a billionaire, you'd probably own them by now and they'd be way better off.

Huh. Would have thought that was important to the story.

It's criminal that the Royals just wasted a BWJ season combined with their diamonds in the rough pitching staff that isn't getting any younger.

Ta-Nehasi Coates is doing a lot of things with this essay, but one of the most important is fearlessly using examples of anti-trans hate to describe Charlie Kirk's politics.

The contrast between his choices and those of other writers for major legacy outlets is revealing.
Charlie Kirk, Redeemed: A Political Class Finds Its Lost Cause
By ignoring the rhetoric and actions of the Turning Point USA founder, pundits and politicians are sanitizing his legacy.

good luck. I've found that after being out of the community for a year, you're lost. After that, you get even farther off the grid by the day.

Wife's out of town so I'm sitting on the couch watching football. If I only had a Cover It Live going, it'd be a perfect flashback to 15 years ago.

We all make choices. It's definitely more casual here and more looney. No way X beats that.

Because it's still the same but I'm going to delete this soon.

Would be a good time to sort through his Kansas Can/To the moon/ redesign initiative and report on what was actually "redesigned".

I offered a few thoughts about the Charlie Kirk assassination, the continued background hum of political violence in America, and what's different today: the neverending effort to define political enemies through violent acts attributed to all of them.

Political Violence and the Reality Distortion Field
Sadly, we’ve always had violence in America; what’s different today is the aftermath, and the battle to define political opposition amid violence.
