Of your points,

#1 is fair

#2 is wrong

#3 is not right and not even wrong.

Excellent!

Was that by William Williams Carlos, or the Williams Carlos of William, or Carlos William² ?

Again, the idiocy of threatening the sovereignty our closest & most important ally & squandering the greatest strategic advantage we have in the entire world should have been an immediate presidency-ending scandal. But then, so should all of the other things, too, if we were a more serious country.
My friends used to roll their eyes & laugh at me (a native 🇨🇦) in the 1990s/2000s, when I insisted 🇨🇦 was far & away our most important ally & every president’s first call & trip should be to Ottawa. We’ll discover how lucky we were not to have a single worry & an ironclad ally on our northern border.
this pretty good article by @dahlialithwick.bsky.social covers quite a few examples.
It doesn't go into the parallels directly but they are clearly there.

It's great. But it's also on Reddit from 7 years ago, and claimed to be around 10 years old at that point.

It's also on a Chicago Sun page from 2014.

Very old, it turns out.

I remember the name Garth Iorg , but not what he looks like. Rance, I remember well.

I literally used a modern looking version of these as a child in the early 80s. They aren't that ancient.

"Cyrus Tehrani, acting chief information officer.

He told reporters that — contrary to what the insurance company found — the breach would've happened even with multi-factor authentication in place. "

Notably, insurance companies are also assholes.

They spend most of their effort trying to not give you the one thing you may them monthly for, the rare time you need to ask for it.

Is... Is that AI, or did some Swedish company nobody in North America has ever heard of actually get Samuel L Jackson to do an ad for them??

I stopped buying anything like this when Wink screwed us over. Glad I learned that lesson early.

And I'd love to know the plot of the episode from which this still shot was taken. Thanks!

I don't remember Quantum Leap jumping specifically to the 60s, at least I can say that the jumps were not set in the 60s for all 5 seasons.

I don't remember Enterprise jumping to the 1960s, although if they did do a "Edith Keeler" style episode, it wouldn't have lasted 5 seasons.

Who is the dick that decided to post a picture of him vigorously rubbing his nose?

We all have moments like this. There's no need to post that one because you don't like the guy.

I admit, I'm missing this one. Is it a Quantum Leap reference?

I think I saw most of the first couple seasons of Enterprise, and some episodes in the third, but didn't see as much of their later stuff.

Help?
