America has 925 billionaires as of this year. Collectively they have a record $6.9 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% of Americans control $4.2 trillion in wealth.

When 925 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

This parasitic organism sucks hundreds of millions from the pockets of ordinary people once more this year

This is where tax rises should be falling, not on the millions already struggling

Such capital gains should be taxed at 90% - at least

When introducing a new policy as ‘costing millions’ it would be useful if #r4Today #bbc could point out that every £100 million the UK government spends costs a Median earner (£37,430) about 82-85 pence and a £300,000 household: contributes about £11.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

This morning's top headline on Today:

"Robert Jenrick has accused the government of a total dereliction of duty after two inmates were mistakenly released".

The release of a prisoner is news. What Jenrick says about it is comment.

Both have a place, but only one of those is in the headlines.
