okay someone smarter than me help me understand

I've made old games in some of these impacted versions that run locally and offline. what's the threat vector here - someone with an already compromised machine could somehow have one of these versions used to gain higher authority?

all other occlusion culling assets that advertise being able to accurately bake culling in an arbitrary scene seem to always introduce crazy pop-in. maybe just user error

disc drive may be on its way out. great news is even without a disc drive you can softmod a Wii with nothing but an SD card and have a shockingly capable little device

as someone with a lot of history in the space (nonverbal brother, many autistic friends, maybe myself) I believe the thing neurotypical people *think* but can't *articulate* is that they feel a sense of "uncanny valley" when someone doesn't follow the same social rules/cues they do

honestly kicking myself that the full game isn't a Metroidvania but I have many ideas for 3D Platformer Metroidvanias so...stay tuned 😅

Really cool movement! Can I ask why you've gone with the run animation in it's current form? I feel like sped up 2x or even 3x it would really sell the motion, rather than the almost floating/slow motion it has now

Hey at least you caught this issue before you launched. for me this manifested as one Cutscene in my game softlocking German players and nobody else...

You also run into issues with people who use AZERTY keyboards (esp common in France) if you hardcode WASD
