Speaking of, I wonder what Dr heimbach would have to say about just war theory, which he used extensively 20 years ago to justify the Iraq invasion, in the light of our murders in the Caribbean

Fundamentally I think the trajectory of winning electoral politics is appealing to the most foundational American value of freedom.
At present, that feeling is the freedom to do whatever I want
One wonders if the opposition party can reclaim the idea of freedom from want and fear.

It's striking to me that we have an entire oeuvre of films about a certain foreign people group committing mass crime on America soil, things far worse and bigger than any other, and it's just considered entertainment and not a reason to eject them all from our country.

there is a significant portion of the global population closely following the daily growth of chive-chopping ability of an anonymous stranger and have been doing so for almost two months.

Big challenge for Christians who want to try to be a part of Western chauvinism is that Christianity didn't start in the west and the Bible isn't full of Western values
What we are seeing in the wake of the National Guard shooting in DC is a shift from Christian nationalism to Western supremacy. It's not one or the other. But the latter category is a bigger tent - and allows for Xtian nationalists to more easily make room for Elon Musk, Stephen Miller, and others.
