The hotel becomes a holding space, not a home and without outreach, young people are left unseen and unsupported.

Coming along to our spaces is often the first step and a doorway to support, connection, and feeling less alone.

Meet OA. When we first met him at a hotel drop-in session, he had just arrived in the UK. He didn’t have clothes, didn’t know where to turn, and felt completely alone.

For many young refugees, arrival can mean isolation. No family, no guidance and no understanding of the systems around them.
