Migrants Organise is a grassroots platform where migrants and refugees organise for justice. In 1993 we came to life in living rooms across West London, where migrant leaders would provide support to their communities. www.migrantsorganise.org

This is big business.

So, why is it so hard for them to provide decent, safe housing for people that need it?

The first PERSON was deported, BBC.
Whilst politicians dehumanise migrants & refugees, the media enables this by failing to recognise & acknowledge that amidst the rhetoric & numbers, we're talking about people.

🚨 Everyday life has become a maze of complex anti-migrant rules and enforcement.

People need reliable, trusted legal advice but our research shows that trusted, publicly-funded advice has become harder to find.

Good quality legal advice is essential in navigating the immigration system.

But thousands of isolated people have been forced to turn to false offers of 'support' after decades of legal aid cuts and neglect. We need a fully resourced legal aid system now! 1/ ⬇️

Many of those detained under this policy are survivors of torture and trafficking.

Most would agree that torture and trafficking survivors should have their cases heard before they are deported. They are entitled to access to justice, just like everyone else.

2/ The far right deals in fear because they cannot compete with the solidarity we embody every day. Do not mistake their noise for strength.

They shout for cameras; we organise for a better future for everyone.

Let’s look after each other, and remember, our #SolidarityKnowsNoBorders
migrantsorganise.bsky.social
Solidarity is not a slogan; it is a practice.

Every bit of progress we’ve made, from trade union rights to migrant justice, was won not because those in power handed it down, but because ordinary people demanded it. And took action to make it happen. ⬇️

Their crime? Being born overseas.

This is why I campaign for #PatientsNotPassports. To dismantle this injustice.

Would you pay this bill? For using a health service supposedly FREE FOR ALL? Thought not. Take action now ⤵️

Another heartbreaking yet totally avoidable tragedy.

Our thoughts are with their loved ones and refugee communities everywhere.

Enough. Human beings will continue to die at the border until our government dismantles its hostile environment and creates safe routes.

if the ministers truly did “whatever it takes” they would do the only thing they did not try and it worked - to welcome refugees as humans and let them rebuild their lives. Shamefully uninformed journalists fail to imagine or mention this positive solution in reporting.
