What about judges, both state and federal. They have in fact sometimes been the targets of reprisals. Should court now be conducted Wizard of Oz style so you don’t know the name or face of the judge presiding over your case? Somehow they keep doing their jobs out in the open.

Why isn’t that true for your regular, local law enforcement? You know, who instead of moving around the country are Policing the same streets every day and living locally. Much easier to track and under this logic much more vulnerable. Somehow they manage to go unmasked.

Secondly, and MUCH more importantly, the argument that they have to hide their face to protect themselves and their loved ones is THE DUMBEST argument ever.

These people arguing for the necessity of masks for ICE; First, I remember 5 years ago when there was no greater injustice than having to wear a mask and it was feat only achievable by people with Olympic level cardiovascular skills. Guess they got over that.

So. Ari Aster is some Andy Kaufman level con, right? Just watched Eddington and I watched Hereditary recently, neither make any sense. I haven’t seen Midsommar, but now I can’t say I have very high hopes that it’s not weird and disappointing.

I’m no law guy, but I don’t think the judge is buying their theory.

Seriously, I wasn't present to hear how this supposed homicidal threat fell upon a vulnerable young scribe at today's New York Times. Maybe it had real menace. Or, maybe, just spitballing here, today's reporters have asses made of candy. Dunno.

I swear I'm not trying to be pedantic, but my problem with these headlines is, if you fall down a hole, and then climb most, but not even all, of the way out (DJIA still down over 3% over last 90 days, over 4% YTD), that is most certainly not "soaring".
