The most high profile examples of “you can’t say that” recently have been employment tribunals findings about treatment of women with gender critical views. But more generally there is a belief that EDI is often used to make people feel stupid/stop discussion.

🧵A problem with current EDI debates is they lump together eg university outreach work to attract kids from working class backgrounds, which I suspect even most Musk loving DOGEite supports, with saying LEGO bricks are bad because they reinforce gender norms, which is nonsense

Just reading a 15 year old book on communications.

It talks about people “surfing” the internet.

But we don’t surf anymore, we scroll.
