My favorite Christmas meme. It’s a Christmas velociraptor in black and white. He’s in a Santa hat and has an uncharacteristic look of childish wonder in his eyes and a particularly adorable blep. Velociraptors are famously incapable of sophisticated speech (along with every other animal but humans I gusss). The first panel is zoomed out, with a caption “it chrismas”. The second panel zooms into the face with the aforementioned childish wonder gleaming in his eyes and blep, with entertaingly juxtaposed razor sharp teeth. The caption here reads “merr chrismas”.

It’s a standard 6-panel Qwantz comic. Panel 1: T-Rex: Today is a good day I think for walking around and doing nothing! Panel 2: T-Rex: Hah hah, just kidding! Because today’s actually the day to talk up Mark!! Panel 3: Dromiceiomimus: Hold up - who’s this “Mark” person, T-Rex? T-Rex: Mark! The EVE ONLINE, ESCAPE ROOM, and STAR TREK: TNG ENJOYER?? The law-school graduate who helps forge all the legislation that hits the floor of the UNITED STATES SENATE?? C’mon, you know Mark! He’s ONLY the greatest guy I’ve ever made up! It’s not truly the holidays until I put up my micro machine-speckled #startrek Christmas Tree in the corner
It’s a small 2-foot fake Christmas tree sitting next to a TV. On the tree hangs both traditional (if simple) Christmas baubles and also a number of Micro Machine Star Trek ships. Multiple Enterprises, along with other Federation, Klingon, and Ferengi ships can be seen.

I saw the Bob's Burgers holiday episode that always makes me tear up and it made me tear up 🥹

The bunny ears frame Tina and Linda. Tina had ditched her own holiday event to come be here for Louise, who had put together a heartfelt poem that had been featured at the library, but Louise didn't want her parents to feel bad for missing her event (they were already double booked with children holiday events), so she had lied about what the poem is about. It's not in the photo, but right now a piece from the movie Mishima, composed by Philip Glass, is being played on xylophones and violins. Gene, offscreen at the school assembly, is playing the piece with the rest of his sixth grade class, with Bob watching. It's a lovely episode.

Welp, this is my life now (I have truly spectacular friends whom I love very much). Still pondering where to put this tbh, and I think it will be a post-holiday project.
It’s the new Lego Enterprise-D model, sitting in an opened cardboard box. It is quite sizeable. It also came with a smaller type-15 shuttle pod, though it is not at all to scale. There’s 3600 pieces in, to paraphrase Star Trek Picard, ‘the fat one’.

Just had a dog do this to me tbh
It’s 2 black and white drawings next to each other (not particularly detailed but certainly better than I could do). In the first one, a dog looks straight ahead. One of my favorite subtle #startrek nods is in SimCity 3000, where, if you zone a seaport but it fails to develop for whatever reason, the newsticker headline is "Deanna senses she will never get to walk on wharf". The nod to her empathic sense *and* her relationship to Worf is just ::chef's kiss::

A dual post on tumblr by user genderfluid-druid. The first post (dated December 22) reads "hurr hurr I'm a human body hurr hurr I'm gonna solve all my problems using mucus". I know very little of Silksong and it will probably remain that way, but based on the fact that the silhouette here is one of the final bosses, I can only assume that the entire game is about Edna Mode finally cracking over her hatred of capes when she sees Hornet.

Clouds speckle the shot of downtown Chicago from however high a plane gets by the time it passes the Loop after taking off from O’Hare. The shot is looking south, with Navy Pier and the Sears Tower plainly visible. A wingtip can be seen, but it doesn’t block the view. The city is gorgeous, as it always is.
