I think this was triggered by the marketing for those audiobooks getting everywhere. Feels dystopian, having seen the brand become toxic in all my circles, to have a full force marketing campaign and UK celebrities blithely pushing it again like nothing ever happened.

Well, in theory there's a solution that walks across the surface of the mesh in many fewer steps, but that seems fiddly and maybe you don't even have enough points for it to shine. The first thing I'd try is doing a dot product instead of a whole matrix-vector multiply for each point.

The machine is 10 years old and is mostly fine, but gets very noisy running pico-8 or picotron. It's perfectly capable of it and it's not maxing out the CPU, but I'd love to find out if can do the same any cooler and quieter. Maybe it's just too much for it, but it seemed worth investigating.

Like, I can go script a bunch of stuff but this seems like a problem somebody has already solved...

Okay, settled on spusu as a not-exorbitantly priced provider with no minimum contract and it turns out it just works. Dunno why Three were so completely useless.
Will worry about what to do long term once the flat has fiber installed.

Meanwhile, the EE store website still doesn't work for me... because I'm logged in. It works if I sign out. I think maybe it never occurred to them that you might be signed in but not have an existing contract?

Three support told me to go to a store and the Three store were like "why did they do that, we can't do anything they didn't already try".

Yeah, Giffgaff (what I'm on already) uses the O2 network. I'm hoping to try a different network...

Thought about trying EE. Had the good sense to create an account *first* and then buy the... oh no wait the shop doesn't work. It just keeps saying they're fixing things at the moment.

I have no idea if this thing repeats automatically. I sure hope not. I want to cancel it and I can't.

I tried to log in to their website. It asked for my password, despite never asking for one during sign-up. Apparently they text it to you. I can't receive their texts because they haven't given me a working esim. I can't reset the password because it also involves them texting you.

I tried Three first. They sent me an email with by esim as a broken JPEG. I loaded it in a different browser. Still broken. Had to copy in the code manually instead. It installed the esim... but it won't connect. "Unavailable"
