because the graph structure of the internet is gone because no one links to anything anymore because google got good enough that it wasn't necessary. natural language has made up a bigger proportion of how search works every year as long as i've known how it works.

I am coming around to thinking the issue is that there are good algorithms (i.e. spam filters- not AI) and poopy algorithms (AI).

The non-doomer version of this is acknowledging the modern world exists with human interfaces. The intent is to enable them to do tasks humans do. The greatest utility comes from machines capable of using the vacuum and washer dryer instead of building unitaskers like room as.
