often, i find that it is the people who complain when anyone brings up the issue of antisemitism who are the most problematic. Ed isn't saying that in his question. the question he asked before was on stopping what's happening in Gaza, so clearly calling for an end to AS hasn't stopped him

when did i say that? the IHRA definition of antisemitism specifically provides for legit criticism of israel. i criticise the israeli govt every day. but clearly, there is a broader problem that a large group of people are not able to do so, as reflected in many stats

You may think of the CST as a political org. Jews in the community rely on it to protect synagogues on a weekly basis from terrorist threat, and the vast majority would not consider it political. CAAS is a different beast, who you may be thinking of

My understanding (I am not an expert on this subject) is that FII is extremely rare.

Yet allegations of FII are rife against families of children with disabilities. This issue particularly affects those with Long Covid and ME.

Two things can be true at the same time - what’s going on in Gaza is terrible, and antisemitism is on the rise (not including pro-Palestinian protest). I regularly see people on both ‘sides’ deny one of these, and imho it increases division and makes it harder for rational voices to be heard
