Is it possible that we are looking for an abrupt change inspired by a crossed red line, when, in fact, the stresses ARE building up, the cracks in the monolith ARE appearing, and the seeds of revolt ARE sprouting? Maybe the saturation point has been reached and a rapid crystallization is imminent.

THe colonialist mentality of "whatever I can take by force is mine forever" plays out again in the current Venezuela conflict in the idea that American companies have more right to the oil under Venezuelan ground than the Venezuelan's do because we "developed" it (i.e., stole it and exploited it).

I'm not sure I understand all of this, but it may explain why I got an email from ChatGPT this morning inviting me to give it a try. I used it a few times more than a year ago and haven't touched it since. After reading this article, I am even more motivated to avoid AI--no ChatGPT, no CoPilot...
