UK/US dual national. Haven't been to US in ten years. Family there are Trumpies, family here are sane. I'm an old man, but still learning - eg, a new 'lick' for Cripple Creek. Did I mention that in retirement, I've become an enthusiastic muso. And Green.

What words to hear on my 20th anniversary of arriving in the UK! I can tell her exactly why Poland has done so well - the EU had paid a very large part in it ! Why are they clapping.

During WWII Polish soldiers came here to help fight fascism. 100s of 1000s of them stayed, had families and became UK citizens. Kemi and her cronies pretending that Poles only recently came to the UK to live and work is ridiculous. Poland is growing because it is in the EU and we aren't, silly cow.

Nigel Farage, is friends with the most awful people, pedophiles, thieves, fraudsters, rapists and murderers. That isn't normal and it definitely isn't appropriate for leadership. The Reform party is a risk to national security.

He said "Right wing equivalents to fascists of the thirties are back on the march: Le Pen France, AfD Germany, Fdl Italy, Vox Spain and Reform in UK"
And Badenoch's plot to rip up the Climate Change Act is an act of "unforgivable irresponsibility".

Nigel Farage should not be on TV he should be banned as the National Front were.

Let him rant on Twitter and GB News, but he should not be on any major channel.

Tories love segregation when it suits them. Private + public schools, elite universities (sic), private institutions and clubs, expensive gated communities. They’re not interested in integration for any other reason than the dilution of cultures other than theirs, which they protect fiercely #c4news

I live in hope.
Meanwhile, back in the room, Proportional Representation would go a long way toward 'Levelling-Up' our electoral system - a mechanism for Greens, LibDem and even whatever emerges from 'Your Party' to work together to defang DeformUK and rump Tories, with - or without - 'Labour'.

Is Starmer ever going to ask Israel to stop the bombing for even a day so that Palestinian people can grieve in peace for the tens of thousands killed by Israel?

I won’t hold my breath.

Beggars belief that Starmer demands an end to Palestine protests so as not to offend. Meanwhile Israel continues to bomb Gaza even during the remembrance services and ongoing peace talks.
