When pubs needed support during Covid, Conservatives stepped in with rate relief. And we would go further - by abolishing business rates for thousands of pubs, helping them keep their doors open, protect jobs and continue serving their communities.

But right now, too many are being priced out of existence - Labour’s tax on jobs, rising energy costs and a brutal increase in business rates are hitting pubs hard. For many, an average 76% rise in rates is unsustainable.

His answer? He claimed they aren’t building on farmland - tell that to our communities watching fields disappear in front of their eyes.

This government is completely out of touch and local people here in Aldridge-Brownhills are paying the price.

The Prayer Breakfast is a significant event in the parliamentary calendar. It recognises the vital role that Christianity continues to play in the national life of our country and provides a meaningful opportunity for church leaders and faith groups to come together in fellowship and reflection.
