Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

So many things he says demand follow-up, but nobody follows up. For viewers who aren’t well informed, this feels like his lie was accepted as true. He would probably say: hey, I’m not under oath here. I can say whatever the hell I want.

Friends in Europe say that’s what they think, also. They are confused to be told the US is now their enemy, but have been told by their gov’t to prepare emergency bags in case they have to flee. They know it’s “just Trump”, but that’s no comfort. The US is supposed to be able to prevent this.

Good to see "owners" in the article's first few words. WaPo doesn't even say the PG is owned until the bottom of the fifth graf, giving an initial impression that a sentient institution is in trouble because of newfangled ideas like organized labor and contract negotiation. Who would imagine?
