Thanks to the leadership by House and Senate Democrats, PA finally has a state budget after more than 4 months of delay. We’re relieved this impasse has ended, but the fact of the matter is that Republicans’ refusal to do their jobs caused unnecessary damage and expenses. @aft.org

Truth! Great day!
Dems have won Va with a moderate, have won NJ with a liberal and NYC with a progressive- it’s all about fighting for working people to deal with the cost of living and a repudiation of the cruelty, cronyism and abuses of Trump, Trumpism
and his billionaire crew.

Great day for Pennsylvania. @aftpa.bsky.social and our locals worked hard to help retain judges with a proven record.
Great news out of PA. Christine Donohue, David Wecht & Kevin M. Dougherty retain their seats on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. AFT locals endorsed them because keeping an independent court ensures elections remain free from partisan interference heading into the midterms. @aftpa.bsky.social

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, the students, faculty, staff, and the entire Lincoln University community. Gun violence has no place on our campuses or in our schools, period. Students deserve the opportunity to learn and celebrate moments like homecoming without fear.

Higher Education Funding made it possible for me and so many others to attend college. I would not be in this position today had it not been for Pell grants and other funding. It’s the right thing to do for our future! #FundHigherEd #FundResearch

Congress explicitly directed these funds to support students, teachers, and schools.
