i almost hit delete on this but something in my heart told me @disastyrzone.bsky.social would get it and enjoy 🫶🏻

i was actually bedridden due to a new medication for a full month this semester, only sitting up during sessions with clients and (some) online classes. took me about 2 weeks after that month to be back at my baseline. still not behind. if i had gotten sick on top of my med fuckery?? forget it

because i mask at school and everywhere else. over the last 2 years and 7 semesters, i’ve noticed more absences, more coughs, more frequently and for longer periods of time for my classmates and professors. it really sucks to sit back and watch and know it’s likely damaging their t-cells. 3/3

i have noticed over the semesters that my classmates are get sick more frequently and for longer. so either their immune systems are changing or the viruses and bacteria are. OR BOTH!! but i was very apprehensive about how sick i’d get and how behind that would put me. not once has it happened…2/3

the first ethical thing is to stop paying them money and using their platform. but that’s my personal moral injury to navigate.
