we genuinely need more research on this. bc covid infections cause brain fog which can result in exactly this BUT ALSO 2020 was a traumatic year and the virus causing all the trauma never went away nor became more mild so there’s for sure unprocessed trauma in over 50% of the population
Can't remember if it was this bad before COVID but I'm seeing an alarming spreading of what I'll call Airport Behavior to other public places. Obliviousness to other people's existence, ineptitude at navigating the environment. "Is this your first time at the grocery store" type stuff

I fear that I will die without accomplishing anything.

i know just the very surface of copyright and usage laws but i thiiiiink maybe it’d be smart to introduce a law that is simply “the government can’t use whatever songs they want to use at events or via social media.” that’s the government, not someone promoting a blog.

Can't believe our tax dollars are going to be spent settling the upcoming exorbitant defamation suit with Sabrina Carpenter, but maybe this is just how public arts funding is going to work now.

for someone who’s really into local politics, i’m reaaaallly bad at reading maps. like so bad. not even just direction wise, someone showed a map of the city i’ve lived in for 95% of my life and i can’t parse it out.

In the summer in advance of grad school, I went through an advanced ADHD evaluation. The findings were inconclusive. The specialist surmised I don’t have classical ADHD, but ASD neighbors it in ways we don’t completely understand.
She gave me a couple of tips to deal with executive dysfunction.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

this is why child labor laws exist
We've been using the baby as an alarm because historically she has not slept later than 6:30. well today she chose to sleep until 7:18 and our "need to be leaving to be pleasantly on time" time is 7:20. We were not pleasantly on time today.
