A singer-songwriter friend would like people to know that while boycotting Spotify is great, it was also 16% of their income that is now cratering. So if you're cancelling Spotify, please pair that with buying music, merch, or live tickets directly from your favorite artists

I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

i think one of the most underrated skills is being able to recognize when someone has misunderstood what you said and bonus points for being able to see how they misunderstood it.

the economy is understimulated because people aren't buying things

to counter this, we should stimulate the economy with stimulus checks

in order to bring stability, we should keep doing it consistently, perhaps every month, for every person, universally

it's quite basic really

bluesky really loves political takes that are simply stating facts. maybe linking a few facts together.

We got Tofunmi registered to vote on his 18th Birthday. Now, we’re going to stay in touch with him and ensure he turns out in the most voter-suppressed state in the union.

This is the work that works—meeting our fellow texans face to face, registering voters, & helping them make their voices heard.

I do not know how much clearer it can be that they want to completely remove disabled people from society.

They want to return to the time where we wasted away at home or in institutions.

I know, you don’t see it in “accommodations have gone too far”, but that’s where this goes.

If a candidate for office historically had a Deaf interpreter at every speaking engagement, won office, and then stopped doing that 90% of the time, it would be a complete outrage and hopefully that candidate would fix the problem
