My views are always 100% correct. Including and especially the ones I no longer hold.
Pro-tip, when even your Wisconsinite backers start telling you to make peace with the rebels storming out of Waukegan, listen to them!

I honestly wonder how much of their revenue comes from minor Gulf royals.

As an American, hahaha no.

I specifically mentioned the pro-Putin part in response to the above poster wondering if MAGA communism was some sort of FSB op; I figured Hinkle being pro-Trump was implicit in me noting his self-description.

I actually just finished the former, and would I be right to assume that even if some of its citations are allegedly a tad sloppy, it’s still more than correct enough on the big picture to be a decent base for further reading? (It certainly matches reporting I’ve read on the IDF archives, etc.)

Remember probable Russian asset Jackson Hinkle? That’s what he literally called himself?

Remember Jackson Hinkle? That’s literally what he described himself as. (And yes, he is in fact pro-Putin and quite possibly a literal FSB asset.)

Yeah, I think once you get to the “Is Maggie Thatcher a girlboss?” stage of discourse, probably best to move on from it..

Which is to say, I do think there’s something to the imperial boomerang here, but in a more “the shittiest vets join the feds to live out their thwarted fantasies by helping to reinforce the latter’s cargo cult militarization”.

That said, by the government’s own count, about 1/3 of CBP are in fact veterans, though how they’ve acted suggests that CBP likely draws more from the Hegseth-types who thinks they were too constrained by the actual military / fantasize about “kicking ass” far more than they actually did.

Hell, I remember that right-wing Islamophobes in the 2000s and early 2010s were at the very forefront of Bosnian genocide denial!

I mean, given that the quoted fellow is praising the PRC in the replies, I think they’re more in the “replace the whole government with my own unqualified goons” category.

Oh, let’s just say anti-Indian racism was already a viral trend among online MAGA last year! Hell, I can go to a Bloomberg video about US 7-11s and half the comments will be specifically blaming Indians for their relatively poor quality vs. Japanese ones.

I would say it’s even weirder coming from a black guy, since Africans also often eat with their hands, but unfortunately intra-black bigotry is a thing too.

Anecdotally, virtually none of my coworkers or customers gave a shit about what dumbass leftists were saying, despite my county being solid blue; the non-voters had largely tuned out well before election season, and the one coworker who complained about Dems abandoning the working class 1/2
