I like to think whenever a Hamas rep is asked about why they don’t just completely surrender and turn in all their arms, they just pull out one of these maps and gesture at, well, everything.
Whenever people want to justify the de facto single state reality of the occupied Palestinian territory I just show them maps like this and ask them what it means

I mean, like it or not, a bunch of US men seem to be specifically looking for “American Kirill“ out of the belief that “True Orthodoxy” is closest thing available to medieval Catholicism (no matter how wrong they may be in actuality).

You should be concerned. It's not the faith that's attracting them it's the older rituals and traditions that Catholics dumped after Vatican II. The older style Mass, women covering their hair, all the things they can try to use in a toxic way.

You do realize Mamdan‘s campaign has been laser-focused on bread-and-butter issues without needing to concede much on other progressive concerns, right? For fuck’s sake, Roy Cooper is still governor of NC despite his staunchly pro-LGBT stance!
What Democrats need to do is neither embrace the ideas of the Bernie / AOC / Mamdani faction nor obsessively freeze Bernie / AOC / Mamdani out.
What they have to do is be tougher on crime and illegal immigration and prioritize broad-based prosperity over emissions reductions and identity politics.
