Find myself drawn to hearing the albums on that list I don’t know. Also, as I’ve said somewhere else, isn’t it odd how you have to have a worst list to get away from white men?

Did you ever see that Q feature from '91, where a range of writers defended 'hated' albums, one from each year? That was great, it was good fun.

I firmly believe that, even more than favourite albums, the ones we dislike reveal a lot about ourselves, so I like to know reasons.

It was accompanied by one of Danny Baker's finest written pieces ever, about the 'two record collections', the one we display in the living room, 'the Ray Charles albums lazing in front of the stereo like dear old pals on Christmas Day' and 'the other one'. 2/2
