Keep demanding. Organize. And make sure your voice is heard: We pay taxes on every penny we earn and every penny we spend, and we demand that money be used for us—not for someone to enrich themselves or play golf.
About two-thirds of US adults say government should make sure all Americans have health care. Is it the federal government's responsibility to make sure all Americans have health care coverage (%)? Net 66 Yes, government is responsible. Net 33 No, government is not responsible. 35% support single national government program. 31% support mix of government and private programs. 26% want an extension of medicare/medicaid. 7% want no government involvement of any kind. 1% don't know Note: Those who said government should or should not be responsible but did not offer a specific response are shown but not labeled. Universal Healthcare with Whole Washington Our goal: Healthcare for Washingtonians that's ALWAYS there, with no deductibles, co-pays, pre-authorizations, or price hikes. You and your doctor decide the care you need and then it's covered. No denials. No for-profit insurance companies. What's covered? Dental, vision, audiology, medical, rehab, physical therapy, mental health, prescription drugs, maternity/reproductive care, gender-affirming care, emergency care, end-of-life care, inpatient care, outpatient care What do you pay? $0 at the point of service. $250/year maximum for name-brand prescription drugs, with generic prescriptions fully covered. How is it funded? Payroll taxes on employers that range between 4.5% for small businesses to 10.5% for huge corporations, with a maximum of 2% to be paid by the employee. One monthly fee covers 100% of your care! How much do we save? Between $800 million and $2.5 billion in an implementation year and up to $5.6 billion annually, according to the Washington Healthcare Authority. Spokane for Whole Washington is hosting another Narcan training this SUNDAY!

The first training was so popular, we're bringing back 'Naloxone, Opioids, and Stigma' to the Central Library, 9/28 at 1 PM.

The Washington Health Trust is in the House & the Senate. Affordable healthcare bills have been introduced since the 90s. It's time to pass one.

This legislation would cover all Washingtonians with public health insurance. Every Washingtonian deserves comprehensive & affordable healthcare.
