For 140 days United Utilities dumped sewage illegally in Lake Windermere last year.

The company has criminal convictions, violates its licence terms but allowed to operate illegally.

Puny fines don't deter. Customers fleeced.

Nothing will change until profit motive is ended.

Yes, the UK government SHOULD abandon its Carbon Capture and Storage scheme, which
a. would cause a net *increase* in emissions
b. is unlikely to work
c. uses tens of billions that'd be much better spent on genuinely green projects.
Let's hope it has seen sense.
