Someday I will finish this. I keep missing spooking season. Land of WIP with kiddo life. I'm starting to not like it as much so I should just finish the pollen plant background and tuck it into the done box before too long.

Went to the Children's Festival today for the first time. It's a really fun one day Renaissance Faire for children held annually in in our town. Lots of crafts. Bit young for the fencing lessons, miniature painting, and dnd booth. But maybe another year fufufu...

One of my new season secondhand flannels showed up yesterday... it was a color combo eye trick it lighting. I'm not mad haha. It's mint and plum purple with mustard in natural light haha It looked cream brown and mustard in the pictures.

In some driveby oh hi, yes I'm active still posting...my 3.5 year old just wrote a whole ass word out of nowhere by herself. She's been into sight reading a bit. Tracing letters...Writing letters here and there.
Of course it was bunny. Rabbit obsessed mommy 🐇

Nice birthday today, my dad and partner came. Grammy played, read books while my dad yaked with my husband. I baked a cherry pie. Dad brought some homebrew n plums from friends. My gifts involved art, cooking, childhood stuff, embroidery my dad made. Picked berries, neighbor gave me farm flowers 🎂

Naptime inking session, flying risky with the nib instead of a fresh one...ink drop plop. Yesss...it landed on the eye of the rabbit. A perfect drop, natural art 20.

Just more tiny do something art, butterflies are a nice no think. It looks inked but it was I give up gouache lining to just be done instead of noodling aka slowly ruining it lol 🤣

I manage the smallest stuff right now. Totally basic, flowers n stuff...not trying too hard to be deep or make meaningful stuff. Whatever I can hustle before busy 😆

My daughter gets to use my tools more than me 🤣
I'm really impressed with the cotton paper. You can practically wash it and dry it like fabric a few times till it starts to felt. I bought it at an estate sale and it bleeds or sucks up paint till you figure out a sweet technique but its really fun.

Nothing fancy. Just a tiny rescue after rescue doodle I did in toddler breaks. Trying to push anything out when I can :p

My daughter has an extensive pumpkin patch on the porch. These two are inside in her play area. The little one had a rot spot so I quickly made a jackolantern with a kitchen knife and scooped it out. With of course a tantrum brewing but was remedied on speedy return.

Sold a little mini painting illustration. Made it one morning where I got away with big seat sitting, and having supplies out...Honestly wasn't expecting to sell, and had it listed just because why not. I put it in my wood portfolio box...not where I keep stuff for sale. That was a goose chase 🤪

When daddy joins art time there is creative bold colors and pixel lessons haha. He used to make lots of art in high school to college so I am thrilled he enjoys crayon time. Of course my orange octopus in the corner is outshined by his bold style 🤣

Often times when a card is needed fast, I pull out the last minute "let's art" panic mode. Strawberries became a very easy busy tired mom morning sneaky art outlet recently but this was a fast thank you card with a recent-ish sale 🍓
