Bristol - Creative Director/Co-Founder at Chicken @wearechicken.co.uk, allotment grower, craftaholic, chronic do it yourselfer. Usually has actual chickens.
When we were dreaming up what we wanted @wearechicken.co.uk to be 3 odd years ago we half joked that we wanted Away Weeks like the ones we had at TBX - fuelled by a hot tub and a glass of bourbon. What I didn’t expect was having the chance to take Away Moments. Now I just need the glass of bourbon!

If you’re gonna have colourful bruises from a stay in hospital you might as coordinate your outfits to match, right? This has been a very strange week but hopefully it is the start of better ones with more energy and less actual poop!

Got my phone out mid project to do something, got wildly distracted by social media, sat down to share my thoughts on the matter (previous post) found myself sat in my newly made no dig bed. I guess it’s always good to test these things out…

Made some stickers for the next LocalGov Drupal camp. Looking forward to the next one. Hopefully somewhere in London can host us!

Was watching something and an actor looked familiar so obviously IMDB’d it. When looking at the actors filmography I spotted Lucy Liu on the cover of Elementary.

So now we’re watching High Potential and Elementary. Very similar and yet very different!

If. I don’t want to spoil the movie but yup, he’s my imaginary friend too… especially now I’m a grown up.

Dexter: Original sin

Ooh 20 minutes in and this is fun… you know like how Dexter could be.

Fun fact: I had a puppy for about 5 days (before my ex decided he couldn’t cope) and called him Dexter because of the original show. That was the

Prague.
I appreciate your love for doggos. Think I need to come back when other tourists don’t want to crush me to death.
Thanks for entertaining my attempts at speaking Czech. Dobrú noc!

There’s a glorious bookshop right by my hotel in Prague. Pretty sure I’m not leaving.

Dear clients, please take this photo as my out of office is on… see you next year. Love you all… in a work appropriate way.

Enjoying watching No Good Deed. Some good lolz if a bit predictable in places, kinda just makes it more fun.

One more hour scoffing noodles and adding more content. Tweaking things. Even though this design isn’t going to be used anywhere I still struggle to add all the bells and swooshes that “real” websites have

I got asked if I can make an elegant website… which then caused my brain to spiral so thought I’d spend an hour whipping up something a bit more dainty. There’s room for improvement but I can do it, I knew I could!

Also this fella is my trusty nighttime pooping buddy, but turns out he’s also pretty good for powercuts. Thanks for reminding me to charge him @kae76.bsky.social

That Christmas is a good little film.

I want to wander around Wellington-on-sea and explore all of the houses, lots of little quirky features that I used to enjoy in picture story books as a kid. Also the story is pretty good too. Realised when grabbing the cover from IMDB it’s Richard Curtis. ❄️❄️❄️

It’s taken a year but that freelancer life is officially gone. Only 100% fresh designer @wearechicken.co.uk here!

When the Christmas moving has this chicken babe on the cover, I’m watching.

Feather Christmas. Officially the most monotone dull Christmas film ever. Thank gawd there’s a chicken!

The slope kinda won.

Spent too long looking for this photo! This was the most massive bit of design work I've ever done. It sounded really simple but it was on a bend and slope. I never saw it in real life. 25 year old me was sure she had fucked it up.

It was for European Commissions Green Week conference in 2010

My weeknotes are never interesting or insightful like I find other peoples to be they are typically like this.

“Fireworks can get in the sea”

Bit of night time working ON the business, trying to combat that “we’re not a couple” problem we suddenly seem to be facing now we’re meeting people further out of our networking circles. There’s been a few “helping your husband” type comments to us working together recently.

What fresh hell is this? It’s too early for this shit. I wish I could avoid all the jobs that are listed on shitty procurement platforms. This is one hoop I’m not jumping through, can’t image my data being secure in anything that looks like this. I’m out, bai!

I used to love fireworks. My ears are ringing and I’ve not left the living room. The doggo is good at barking. Squeezey Cheese is good at quietening doggos.
