Stephen Miller on CNN saying that revoking student visas to China will prevent espionage of scientific and technological research from universities. Except they have also halted that research by pulling funding from our universities.

NIH has rescinded its scientific integrity policy. Hard to see this as anything other than clearing the way for shoddy research on things like vaccines. Regardless of the rationale, it's bad news for public health.

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

So disheartening
The state of our dead democracy
We had to collect 180K signatures to put proposition A on the ballot to increase minimum wage to $13.75 and guarantee sick pay for Missourians. The measure won.

Just now, the Missouri House voted to overturn our will. Without signatures…with a vote. They do the bidding of the wealthy.
