Gone fishin'! Some examples of carved stone cups or basins commonly known as toll sollaidh (bait holes) from the Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Believed to have functioned a grinding pits for cockles, limpets, mussels and other shellfish as chum to attract fish. #coastalhistory

I was astonished to hear from Matthew Warner-Smith that the public radiology workforce in NSW is so precarious that just 4 radiologists, all approaching retirement age, do 1/3 of Breastscreen NSW reporting. And screens are double-read- a huge volume. 😱 #ASBD2025 #BreastCancer #MedSky

The trickle of BA.3.2.2 samples from Western Australia has continued.

While the frequencies of this variant are still quite low, it’s ongoing spread (likely to many thousands of infections by now) gives it every opportunity to acquire the mutations it needs to succeed.

In Australia, 45% of Gen Z vote for the Greens. Is it any wonder with the way our governments (and both the two main parties) continues to align themselves with fossil fuel companies, open more coal mines and succumb to lobbying across all fronts. #auspol #climate #genz

What a great story: offshore wind turbines are being used for their biodiversity addition by growing seaweed on lines between turbines.

While the wind turbines generate clean energy, seaweed grows & helps regenerate the surrounding marine environment, while absorbing CO2 & excess nutrients.
