Commercial Christmas is finally over, going on since Nov 1, all the holiday decor and music is gone from stores, with the shelves being prepped for Valentine's Day, and people asking you if you had a good Christmas instead of 1/2

Blessed St Stephen's Day! There is a calmness in the chilly air today. Commercial Christmas is finally over, going on since Nov 1, all the holiday decor and music is gone from stores, with the shelves being prepped for Valentine's Day, and people asking you if you had a good Christmas instead of 1/2
All I didn't want for Christmas was a migraine, a panic attack, and a trip to the ER. But my mind now has a spaciousness it hasn't had in a long time. Let's hope I'll be able to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmastide (or the remaining 40 Days of Christmas, according to the old liturgical calendar)!

The confusion and fogginess of waking up from a two-day migraine and then having to jump right back into a noisy and sunny and busy world, especially two days before Christmas, and not being able to easily get back into its rhythm after darkness and silence and sleep, is what Lazarus must have felt.
