Probably. Some monastics (like the boskoi or grazers) traveled with the antelope herds and grazed on grasses alongside them, while others ate no cultivated crops, or what was eaten in Eden before the Fall (hence, no meat), or the vegetables and water diet of Daniel and his companions (Dan. 1.12).

I remember back in the '90s when that song caused controversy amongst Evangelicals. And how she changed the words in a 2001 concert to "the Pope, she lives in Rome."

From my Catholic perspective, neither. Ordinary Time doesn't begin until after the Baptism of the Lord (thus, gold liturgical colors until the Baptism). Or from a more medieval perspective, Christmastide lasts until Candlemass, this year giving us 2 weeks of Ordinary Time before Lent.
