These lyrics made me think of Jina, in the most obvious sense, but I think they also reflect both Setsu and Yuri. They occur again right when the music becomes distorted, which makes me think of Setsu and their loops even more.

Ending on this lyric,,, oh,,, I understand completely,,, I don't believe these particular lyrics appear elsewhere in the song, unlike other lines, so having them be the last line, it feels rather significant, no? Although I say I understand completely, I have multiple thoughts.

1. What made you ship it? The way Genis says how much he likes Lloyd - and so often! - really melted my heart... It was so cute! I love the dynamic the two of them have where they can tease and bicker with each other, but Genis really admires Lloyd, and Lloyd respects Genis. The special talk at Dirk's house where Lloyd says if it's okay if they fight and argue, because they'll do that, and in the end, they'll understand each other. I loved that because it's like... They don't shy away from the fact that they're not always gonna agree, but they'll still hear each other out and they don't need silence themselves or each other. While this is pretty basic, I feel like a lot of ships don't have that "we can fight and that's fine" attitude. 2. What are your favorite things about the ship? They're so cute and fun, and I love the idea of the two of them adventuring together and supporting each other. Then, you add in the disparity between their natural lifespans, and it becomes this cute, sweet ship that will ultimately end in heartbreak. And the fact Genis is so aware of that when they're both so young... 💔 Fave. Also, isn't a swordsman x mage combo really cute?? 🙈💗 3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I can count the number of fans for this ship on one hand, I don't think it's popular enough for there to be people to have opinions... So, instead, I'll say that all Lloyd x Party Member ships are canon in my opinion because in DotNW, all the female party members can canonically be love interests. It's only fair the male characters can have that option as well (in namco wasn't a COWARD 😤)

1. What made you ship it? Of course, the two of them are really cute when they're friends. I feel like in addition to Genis never having a half-elf friend like him, Mithos himself hasn't had anyone he could call a friend in a very long time. The way their happiness is seeped loneliness and pain is what makes them such a great ship. 2. What are your favorite things about the ship? This is the kind of ship where Genis empathizes with Mithos, so he wants to help him no matter what. But Genis is a kid who ultimately still has a kid's way of thinking. The more he tries, the deeper he'll get pulled in, so by the time he fully grasps Mithos's true character, it's too late. Ofc, for Mithos, it's not even that he's trying to manipulate Genis per se: He genuinely thinks that Genis is like him and believes Genis will naturally come to understand and accept his way of thinking and his methods. I really enjoy the tension of this kind of dynamic. 💕 3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? lol idt mithos is in any way mentally still a fourteen year old kid, you're just scared to admit you like a severely questionable ship

1. What made you ship it? A friend asked me my opinion on the ship after I finished Black Water Arc, and I hadn't even considered them before. After that, though, I began to look at their story again with new eyes and thought, "Hey, these two have a really interesting story, but we only got a little taste of it!" 2. What are your favorite things about the ship? I love the different possibilities with them! Their different personalities but similar values intrigued me—it gives them an interesting dynamic that's fun to explore at any point in their storyline and in any AU. I love how they both care so much about their families and justice and the way those things bring them together and also tear them apart. ;~; 3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? They were each other's first and only love. 😌 <-(probably my most unpopular opinion for them)
