Night rant: For several personal & work related reasons this look like it will be a horrible birthday month. I don’t know why I even bother. Haven’t had a good one since I lived in UK and it has been 20 years since then.

The only thing I’m expecting with some hope is the release of my latest book.

I really recommend it, if any, because it explores at detail and care the psychological side that the film left out, doing a better job at explaing why Anakin did what he did. Not justifying it, but showing his inner thought process.

To this day this is one of my favorite books and one of my to go inspirations for writing (much to the chagrin fo a fellow author who I know is not a fan of it). I wish I would get this shinny annotated copy to explroe more about Stover's process.

In all seriousness, publishers are going to have to figure out how to market books in the post-social-media landscape. That should be an implicit part of their job. What authors/artists can do on their own is increasingly limited and siloed.

One life lesson that should be considered is that sometimes not everything has to have a debate. I’m talking minor stuff like which superhero is better, not life altering stuff of course.

We need to learn the difference between both to choose the battle wisely, enjoy stuff and avoid burn out.

It sounds that they only accept stories about The horror of existence perhaps. Very post modern and realistic I guess.
