I know Americans are a fundamentally ignorant people who think history is made up, but you are pretending the wave of small European and Japanese cars selling well in the US in the 60s through 80s never happened and that is baffling.

And in the 60s they were driving cadillacs the size of sailboats, and then the VW bug and other cars like it sold like hotcakes by being small and practical for daily use.

I'm not certain, but I think the World Wars might still be the only wars in history where multiple combatants both had submarines, and had the naval conflict be actually important to how it played out.
There just hasn't really been an occasion for submarines to do shit for most of their existence.

I love this kind of thing because you can try and plot out what the best case scenario for the Axis would have been.

Yeah it seems like it's fundamentally not that different from a "history of religion" course, just with a focus on more folkloric/grassroots beliefs rather than the stuff religions put in official texts.
