I like the show. It had its flaws, but all the shows do. It needed 7 seasons. And a movie.
Justice for Trip

Let’s see how soon Republicans bemoan that they can’t starve people to death.

Season two is the best for giving us Captain Pike and Janet Reno. I will add in Ethan Peck’s Spock. All very good additions. But Section 31 drives me up the wall. The Ash character drains me of energy every single time he shows up. And all the plot contrivances bother me. But it’s got Pike. Yay!

Season one starts of by making its main character unlikable. For no reason. The mutiny was absolutely pointless. The resolution to the underserved Klingon War is underwhelming and unsatisfying. But Captain Lorca (Jason Issacs) is a fantastic, fascinating character.

Season four is great for solving a problem with dialogue. It didn’t have enough story for its season and can be repetitive in the beats as a result. But at least the end didn’t have another stupid space battle of overstimulation

Season 5 is a bit better. The Breen don’t add up to me. Especially letting a human do what she did and not draw and quarter on the spot. The Projenator stuff didn’t really thrill me.

Season 3 is the absolute worst because of the root cause of the burn. It’s just utter nonsense. I title it “The Boy Who Cried So Hard He Broke Reality- Literally”. If you think that’s a dumb title, welcome to season three
