Social media & I never liked each other much. I like long-form content. Nuance. Stillness. The woods. Coincidentally, & I’m sure with great surprise, you’ll find I’m not here often 🐿️

Too many books?

No.

Not enough bookshelves.

Kindness is a security control, even during times like these. ✨Especially✨ during times like these.

Kindness grows friends, allies, buy in, trust, & the benefit of the doubt.

…Or you can go at it alone, fail at your goals, start fights you can’t win, & become too weak to feel anything but anger 🙃

Perhaps shift the thinking from “Why is no one doing anything about…?” To “Who is doing work on…?”

Someone is. Find your community. Do the work.

So itchy. 😒

I sometimes think superhero stories did us a disservice in the collective imagination

It’s many small actions taken together that make heroic change

A superhero is a fantasy for when you have no hope — the truth of it is WE ALL create hope

Comedy is the answer to nihilism

Hope and mirth bring possibility.

A regulated brain, filled with joy, makes better decisions & is capable of building the community that will decide our future.

These are practices; daily
endeavors, like laundry or dinner. Take action from this strong foundation

If you’re the information guzzler, you have a unique opportunity to help others get up to speed

Summarize info into categories, lay out the patterns. Give bullet points, and condense the important info into a few helpful links — scaffold for them!

Never make someone do the same work you had to

Our team has developed resilient capabilities and behaviors for enough products and teams to know…

…You probably need a drink of water. Maybe a snack.

The most important thing I can tell everyone that I've learned from being a YouTuber who explains how stuff works is that each and every time I thought "this is common knowledge and doesn't need to be explained" I was wrong.

I’ve always preferred to take people at their word and not constantly sort through “Did they mean that? Will they do that…?”

At the end of the day, if they cared about you at all, they would not make you guess

Walking helps process cortisol and releases endorphins

If your brain is too buzzy and you’re struggling to think: take a walk, even just around the house. Pacing has a purpose!

Joy is necessary to live.
Please continue to cultivate joy, and share it when you can

When you’re a bit off-balance, I like to lean against a tree. Very steady things, trees.

Reclaim your childlike wonder!
The planetary parade is an event for all!
Go outside!
Look up!
Be charmed!

What makes you unique is part of what makes you powerful. Don’t lose those thoughts, those abilities, that air, that voice! All together, individual snowflakes make a blizzard

Difference + curiosity + combined purpose

Sometimes, it is quite enough to daringly dream of beautiful futures

Dreaming is before the doing, you know

There’s a reciprocity component to trust.

Tech demands a large volume of information, creativity, and vulnerable engagement from us — it’s no wonder we, the humans on the internet, are looking for a return equal to what we’ve given

AI bloat everywhere is driving me nuts. I don’t want to gift my thoughts, my ideas, my voice, my creativity, or the communication of my identity to this hungry maw of a data pit; stop forcing it into every internet orifice

Winter is a great time for stillness. The quiet is so gentle, and the cold won’t get you if you wrap up warm ❄️

Procrastinated on this first post too long… Ripping off the bandaid with an unsolicited and strongly held opinion:

Maple Creemees. They deserve more attention. A national stage for the national treasure they are
