As a historian, all I ever think is that anyone who thinks you defeat fascism with better arguments has a very strange idea of history where all the atrocities within it could have been stopped by a good debater
I’m not sure the problem here is bad faith. The fascists were quite honest about being fascists. The problem is overrating the value of winning a debate with people who are much more interested in normalizing their ideas than persuading.
