Currently feeling old as hell as I knit in the carpool lane waiting to pick up my brother from school on his 17th birthday. He was just a baby yesterday 😭

Does anyone know if there’s a name for this type of yarn? It’s thin, about 14 wpi, not soft, and has spots that are more loosely spun sort of like beehives in art yarn but smaller. They’re all wound in these weird hot dog shapes (not sure if they originally came like that) but none have any labels 🧶

I deleted TikTok and it feels so freeing. I hadn’t browsed it since it came back, but I kept automatically opening the app and it was just time for it to go

I am in the process of inheriting tons of yarn from my elementary school art teacher who became a close family friend. She’s still alive, just downsizing, but it’s so fun to go through all of this and think of all the possibilities! 🧶
