It boggles my mind that we can't have the small sidewalk plows follow behind the large city plows and clear the intersections and crosswalks. The cities and region are oblivious to the concerns of the majority of people who don't drive. That includes people of all ages who don't commute.

One pass for crescents and cul-de-sacs to get rid of most of the snow, and throw the savings from the road-clearing budget towards sidewalks, but stops, intersections, etc. Those should be done first anyway, but they're not being done at all now. Even on-road bike lanes aren't cleared.

I know, it frustrates me to no end. For 25 years I lived on a bus route and enjoyed the fact it was cleared first. This year I live on a cul-de-sac. There is absolutely no reason the plow needed to come by twice today. There was hardly any snow on the road after the first pass much earlier.

Yesterday I passed a few bus stops that had huge piles of snow from the city plows in front. When I used to commute every day by bus I would need to wear snow pants so I could crawl over the snow bank to get to the bus. I'm sure there will be an accessibility lawsuit against the cities and region.

Reducing lanes never causes carmageddon. Just like adding lanes never reduces congestion. Car traffic expands & contracts according to available space.

I have yet to hear a cogent argument by any company about forcing AI on all of us. I would like to hear what problem it solves, not how it's going to create efficiency. I don't trust any "fact" it presents, and any use of AI will involve a lot of fact-checking afterwards so it's a waste of time.

Plenty of pros for having ASE, can't think of any cons and people I've talked to who want the cameras gone have not given any reasons other than the false talking points that it's a cash grab. I just don't know what to do when facts don't matter.

I wonder if we should explain to the naysayers that penalties are much worse for them if they are ticketed by police instead of ASE. Speed cameras don't issue demerits, police can. And if they care, there's also the uncomfortable fact that non-white people can be stopped more often.

Thanks for the reminder - I didn't know the men's soccer games were on TSN! I was looking for the women's games a few weeks ago but they were only on Onesoccer.

I couldn't report it as impersonating you because you don't have a Facebook page, but I reported it 3 times with other violations such as intellectual property. And I commented on a bunch of posts with a link to your post here on Bluesky. A few other people have done the same in the comments there.

This is not sustainable.

And that’s part of the privatization agenda.

Break the public system and then point to privatization of education as the solution.

It’s a genius plan.

And our kids will pay the price.
