Silhouetted remains of the High Court Banksy
creating a curiously medieval quality...as if depicting Thomas a Becket being attacked in the crypt

Oh man - so sad - how the hell do you check on their emerging literacy skills if you don’t read together - helping them with the decoding, checking for comprehension, sharing emotional responses to what is going on in the story - crucial for parents to model what fluent readers do. With voices!

Passive voice - refuge for the mealy mouthed and those who look to shift responsibility from themselves.

This is a wonderful piece that shows the absolute courage of this girl and her family and team. The viciousness of anti trans hate, particularly from Christian organization is astounding. Thank you @brucearthur.bsky.social for not being a bystander to hate and bullying.

Harriette Mackenzie is such a rare athlete: she’s a BC college basketball star, and she is trans. This is the story of her season: an in-game attack, anti-trans hatred, outing herself, a lifetime of trauma, and how she kept going, despite it all. www.thestar.com/sports/baske...

Went to a Liberal rally tonight. Heard prime minister Carney speak. He is very human and funny in his stump speech. The last liberal rally I attended was for Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Kinda dates me. I’ve mostly voted NDP in the interim but not this time. #elbowsup.

Is anyone else still enraged from watching CBC Katie Simpson interview of people in Tennessee last night? Their casual indifference to & lack of empathy for Canada & the chaos caused by their country to ours. Also their blindness to the rushing slide to authoritarianism in their country. #elbowsup

PP is like Trump, Musk, Peterson - a big danger to Canada.

There are many reasons not to vote for pp, but this is a big one for me.

@proudlycanadiantoques is a great fundraiser that the Toronto Star has. Profits support over 1200 food banks through Feed Ontario. Loving this cosy expression of my love for Canada. starstore.ca/products/pro...
