Texas is having some wild weather.
Check this out from KCBD in Lubbock on June 5. From about 15:00 to 28:00 you can barely hear the on-air meteorologists over the huge hail. #WxSky

Every day on the internet makes it abundantly clear that some people have never had a single person turn around and say to them, ‘Cite your sources’ because, and I say this with every ounce of love I can muster as a teacher: while you are entitled to your opinion, that does not make it fact.

Infatuation has lists of the best burgers, best Mexican, and best new restaurants. I love looking at them, but I wouldn't ever go to 95% of those places. Today, I found a taqueria that sells tamales by the dozen for $59.99. I could order tamales and overnight ship them from Texas for less $$

People are fleeing Florida and Texas. As of Jan. 2025, those states collectively accounted for over 30% of ALL homes for sale in the US. Florida had 157,221 active listings—the highest in the country—followed by Texas with 102,552.

Repressive state governments and rising insurance are to blame.
